Wake up!
The sun, streaming through my blinds at 5.53am called me to wake up and run.
And run I did.
A train line abandoned in the 1950's, now overgrown and treelined, was the path I travelled, sweating my way from Highgate to Finsbury Park.
I'd like to say I made it all the way back - but I didn't.
The 4km outward journey was brisk, 4km return, a gentle stroll, accompanied by a tender knee. This friend has been with me, since I embarked on an unsuccessful marathon preparation campaign a couple of months ago.
I hope that it heals soon.
Maybe a new pair of trainers will solve everything?!
