The lyric above comes from a song called 'A Long December' written by Adam Duritz, lead singer of the band 'The Counting Crows'.
The words highlight to me one of the eternal dilemas of life, attempting to be fully present to the moment as it spontaneously evaporates. As futile as this pursuit seems, I think the median of photography allows us to move as close as we possibly can to 'capturing the moment'.
To me there is beauty present in all things, particularly the things that we seem not to notice as we make our way through our busy lives.
